Crankie Theater
A Crankie is a form of visual storytelling using a long, illustrated scroll that is wound between two spools inside a box. By turning a handle (the crank), the scroll moves, revealing a continuous sequence of images while a narrator tells a story or a musician plays. I fabricate my crankies out of old vintage suitcases using upcycled materials.
Currently, Cypress Knees and Tupelo Trees is being featured for the 2025 season.

Art Moves 2024: Celebrate Imagination
Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance, the City of Hot Springs Art Advisory Committee and Hot Springs Parks and Trails collectively produce the annual Art Moves outdoor exhibition which is made up of paintings, drawings, and/or photographs reproduced onto metal panels and displayed along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail.
